For the past 17 years I have worked as an alpine coach coaching athletes of all ages and skill levels. I was extremely fortunate to get involved with Lester during my time working as the Western Region Alpine Coach. He hired me for the position which at the time most people, (including myself), thought was way over my head; but that is where my journey with Lester began. He saw the potential in me and through his positive mental techniques and guidance, helped me reach a level of coaching I never thought possible.
As coaches or athletes, we are all driven by a need to be successful and as a result search for a competitive advantage. Endless hours are spent studying our craft, perfecting technique and refining strategy. Lester taught me that so often we neglect the most influential component that makes our endeavor unique - the power of our mind and recognizing how we can influence our own success.
Through Lester’s guidance, I unlocked my potential as a coach by helping to reveal confidence, develop strategies, organize information and push myself mentally to be my best. During our time together I also watched the growth of individuals and groups we worked with benefited from his philosophy, knowledge and understanding of the mental game.
I simply do not have the words to express my gratitude to Lester for his guidance, and I would not hesitate to recommend him to any athlete or coach who is looking for that performance edge to reach the next level.

USST Women’s Europa Cup Coach
Lester is one of the best applied sports psychologists I have worked with. His practical and positive approach to sports psychology is very engaging and is focused on directly enhancing performance. Lester was my sports psychology coordinator at the U.S. Ski Team and ran a really terrific program. His understanding of the needs of athletes, particularly developmental athletes was excellent. He also understands the role of the coach, support staff and parents in sports psychology programs. Lester also has a character and work ethic that I hold in the highest regard.

I’ve been professionally associated with Lester Keller for 18 years. During that time Lester has had a profound impact on the way I understand youth sports, in particularly alpine ski racing. Always innovative, always progressively formulating solutions to the evolving challenges presented to clubs like CVA and the CVA weekend program, Lester is an expert in the field of athletics. His knowledge and ability to analyze challenges, format solutions, communicate with athletes, coaches, parents, and other club leaders has been very effective for the programs I have directed and for my personal growth.
Lester has been, and continues to be, an expert resource available to enhance the efforts and expertise of teams and individual athletes and coaches. CVA and CVA weekend program will be working with Lester in multiple areas in the coming seasons. We view him as an invaluable resource for our programs. With complete confidence, I highly recommend that others do the same. Your athletic programs will be the better for it.

Carrabassett Valley Academy Alpine Program Director
I have worked with Lester for several years in his position as the Director of the Western Region of USSA and mine as President of the Pacific Northwest Ski Association (PNSA). Lester’s understanding of youth sports, the athletes, and their parents is unsurpassed. He understands what motivates athletes, how to increase participation, and how to deal with the ever present parental influence and pressure. Additionally, Lester has always been very good at sorting through a wide variety of opinions throughout the region and leading us to positive solutions. I would be pleased to have him consult with any of the clubs in PNSA.
